Why wont the windows work in my 97 jetta?

All the power to my windows went out I checked all the fuses they're all good even the hidden ones I have a 97 Jetta gls the only one that will roll up or down is the drivers side has anyone else ever had a similar problem and how can I fix it without going to a shop?
