Christians: How does this make you feel?

If we took everything from the bible literally we'd go mad trying to obey all the rules. I am a very devout Christian but I do not go to church, nor do I read the bible. In my (perhaps misguided) belief, Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and this made the first testament obsolete. For every command in the bible there is an opposing one. Remember, the bible was written by man. And I don't trust man as far as I can throw one. I used to go to church, but it's run by man and I was so scared of the God they talked about. He wasn't my God. I used to go to bible study but I was thrown out for asking too many questions. The bible is very symbolic. Did God create the world in seven days? I don't believe so. I believe he created it over millions of years and created it using the big bang. The bible was written thousands of years ago and they didn't have the knowledge we do now. Don't take the bible too literally.
