Why doesnt my stock amp turn off?

Hey I have an aftermarket stereo installed in my 2001 vw jetta and everything worked perfectly until now :(..I guess my stock amp doesn't turn off so it drains my battery over night..I kno it is the amp because I disconnected it and my car starts perfectly now every morning..can someone please help me?
